This policy explains what personal data papuamovement.com collects, why, and how you can contact us about it. The site is operated by the Youth Foundation for Indonesian Peace (Yayasan Pemuda Untuk Perdamaian Indonesia, YPPI). Contact: [email protected].
What we collect
When you read the site. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Like any website, our server and our security provider record technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used to keep the site running and secure.
When you comment. If you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address and optional website you enter, along with your IP address and browser information. Your email address is not published. Comments are checked for spam on our own server. If you choose to have your details remembered, your browser stores a cookie with your name and email for future comments.
When you email us. We keep your email and our reply to respond to you.
Third-party services
- Cloudflare protects and delivers the site. It processes visitors’ IP addresses and request data for security and performance.
- Google Fonts. Our fonts are loaded from Google’s servers, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when you visit.
- Gravatar. If you comment, an anonymized string created from your email address may be sent to Gravatar (Automattic) to show your profile picture, if you have one.
- Links to Instagram, Threads, Facebook and other sites take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.
How long we keep data
Comments and their metadata are kept as long as the comment is published. Emails are kept as long as needed to handle your request. Server and security logs are kept for a limited time by our hosting and security providers.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, including your comments. Indonesian law, including Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection, gives you rights over your personal data. Email [email protected] and we will respond.
Changes to this policy
If we start using new services that collect personal data, such as analytics, we will update this page first.
